Local investor acquires South Tampa properties, plans medical concept

A Tampa real estate investor has acquired two South Tampa properties and intends to transform the space into a medical concept.

The sale closed on Aug. 31 and includes the site at 4224 Henderson Blvd. with a 19,891-square-foot office building and the site at 2211 S. Louis Ave. with a 1,699-square-foot single-family home. The buyer is Dr. Devanand Mangar. The seller was a dissolving Louisiana corporation called Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp.

Nick Ganey, Tommy Szarvas and Estevan Lamas with Boutique National represented the buyer. Caleb Lewis with JLL represented the seller.

The state of Louisiana signed off on liquidating Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp. in April 2022. A judge found that the insurance company could not sustain itself and declared it insolvent.

The one-story office building was built in 1959 and sits on a 1.151-acre lot with roughly 90 surface parking spaces. The single-family home sits on a 0.19-acre lot.

The property is adjacent to Suncoast Academy South Tampa Preschool.
