$12 million home sale is Casey Key's highest in two years

A waterfront estate in Casey Key has sold for $12 million — the area’s highest sales price in more than two years.

The property is the Tweenwater Estate at 1312 Casey Key Road. The home is just over 6,900 square feet and sits on a 0.94-acre lot. The sales price breaks down to $1,737 per square foot.

According to Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, the transaction marked the second-highest residential sale in Sarasota County this year. A deed has not yet been filed for the transaction.

Lisa Napolitano and Valerie Dall’Acqua of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s downtown Sarasota office were the listing agents for the property. Brian Corcoran with The BRC Group represented the buyer.

“Coming off the sugar high of the last two years, and in the context of sales prior to 2021, this is the highest sale price ever recorded on Casey Key,” Napolitano and Dall’Acqua said in a statement. “We are still experiencing record-low inventory levels, and this sale indicates there is still a strong demand for ultra-luxury homes and the unparalleled location of Sarasota’s barrier islands.”

The British West Indies-styled estate has 100 feet of private beach frontage and lies between Blackburn Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. It was designed by Herscoe Hajjar Architects of Naples and built by The Aerial Cos. in 2014.

The six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom home features a bespoke staircase in the entrance, a gourmet chef’s kitchen and large screened terraces. The property includes boat and kayak lifts and a climate-controlled eight-car garage. There is also an infinity-edge pool and sauna as well as fitness and bicycle rooms.
