RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Detroit coworking company expands to downtown St. Pete SpaceLab, which was founded in 2017, has more than 500 members. Many of those members are in the construction, design and real estate fields, according to the company.
The coworking company is leasing a 5,900-square-foot space on the ground floor of City Center. It is holding a grand opening celebration on Aug. 24 at its new St. Pete office in the City Center building at 100 Second Ave. S., Suite 105N.
City Center is owned by St. Petersburg-based Feldman Equities.
“Our expansion to St. Petersburg is a significant step in our journey to connect innovative individuals and businesses,” Bobby Burton, co-founder and COO of SpaceLab St. Pete and its parent company Space Lab Development Inc., said in a release. “We believe in the power of collaboration and community, and our goal is to foster a supportive environment where professionals can unleash their full potential.”
SpaceLab St. Pete features drop-in workspaces, workflow rooms, conference rooms and dedicated offices. A DIY production studio will soon open in the space as well, according to the company’s website.
The City Center office building has an on-site café and fitness center. It overlooks Al Lang Stadium, which is home to the Tampa Bay Rowdies, Demens Landing Park and the St. Petersburg Municipal Marina. Downtown St. Petersburg is home to several other coworking companies including Industrious, Station House and Thrive.
“We are confident that SpaceLab St. Pete will serve as a launchpad for innovation and success,” Burton said. |
