Hyde Park Village's boutique hotel opens soon

The Palihouse boutique hotel under construction in Hyde Park Village will open this fall.

Los Angeles-based Palisociety, which operates Palihouse-branded hotels, said Monday that Palihouse Hyde Park Village will be a “36-guest room hideaway cloaked in European-inspired style with a considerable dose of Palisociety’s signature irreverent design.” It is Palisociety’s 19th location.

An exact opening date was not disclosed.

“We particularly covet finding unexpected properties in communities where we can create a unique and creative new aesthetic and vision for the area that feels like a natural extension of its existing appeal,” Avi Brosh, founder and CEO of Palisociety, said in a statement.

Boston-based WS Development, which owns Hyde Park Village, announced its deal with Palisociety in 2022. The hotel is on the second floor of 1509 W. Swann Ave., the block that’s home to restaurant On Swann.

“Hyde Park Village has long been a beloved destination in Tampa, and the addition of Palihouse completes the picture,” Samantha David, president of WS Development, said in a statement. “Palisociety is an industry leader for creating boutique hotels that are original and charming with distinctive and thoughtful amenities and a remarkable attention to detail; always designing with the neighborhood in mind.
