42-story Art House in St. Pete reaches construction milestone

Art House St. Petersburg, a luxury condominium tower in downtown St. Pete, has hit a construction milestone.

General contractor Coastal Construction completed the foundation pour for the 42-story tower being built at 235 First Ave. S. Art House is being developed by Kolter Group and held its groundbreaking in June 2022. The tower was designed by SB Architects, with interiors by ID & Design International.

On July 21, 65 cement trucks poured 3,132 cubic yards of concrete for the project in an 18-hour window. The pouring of the foundation indicates that vertical construction will soon commence.

Art House will bring 244 condominiums to downtown St. Pete at the site of the former surface parking lot near the 200 Central office tower. The residences will range from two to three bedrooms and will include floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies with views of Tampa Bay and the city.

One of the penthouses in the tower went under contract in May for $6.1 million. When it closes, the sale price will break down to roughly $1,258 per square foot. Condos that sell prior to the completion of the project don’t close until the owner can take occupancy.

There are 12 penthouses on the top three floors of the tower. The project's ground floor will have retail and restaurant space along Central Avenue.

Amenities for the project include a pool and spa, club room with a private dining room, fitness center, theater with lounge seating and gathering and conversation areas.
