Concrete plant in St. Pete sells for $5 million

An industrial property near St. Petersburg’s Childs Park neighborhood has sold for $5 million.

The property at 4451 Eighth Ave. S. sold on July 11 to Lake Park-based Maschmeyer Concrete Co., according to a deed filed in Pinellas County. The seller was STABIL Concrete Products, which produces “architectural precast concrete for commercial, institutional, and public building sites throughout the Southeast,” according to a release.

Kori Billings and Shane Billings, with Bridgewater Commercial Real Estate, listed the property.

“We were fortunate to help our seller quickly identify a motivated buyer for their very unique property that consisted of office space, warehouse and on-site concrete batch plant,” Kori Billings said in a release.

STABIL Concrete Products purchased the site in January 2006 for $1.2 million, according to Pinellas property records.

The 4.13-acre site is zoned industrial traditional, which allows for outdoor storage. There are four buildings on the site with 3,065 square feet of office space and 20,160 square feet of warehouse. There are eight private offices, a reception area, a conference room and an open office area on site.

Bridgewater said Maschmeyer Concrete Co. plans to use the property as a concrete batch plant.

Maschmeyer has been in business since 1948 and has been in Florida for more than 37 years. It specializes in supplying ready-mix concrete, block and building materials and serves the Southeast, Central and Tampa Bay regions of Florida.
