RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Dutch Bros. plans first Tampa Bay location in South of Gandy area Dutch Bros. has asked the city to rezone a .57-acre car wash property at 3616 W. Ballast Point Blvd. The car wash is across North Dale Mabry Highway from Home Depot.
A rezoning request requires a quasi-judicial public hearing before Tampa City Council. Tyler Hudson, an attorney at Gardner Brewer Hudson PA in Tampa, represents the property owner who is seeking the rezoning to make way for Dutch Bros.
The proposed coffee shop is a standard location for Dutch Bros.: a 950-square-foot building with no seating, accessible only via drive-thru and walk-up windows. There is no indoor seating, and there will be nine surface parking spaces.
Oregon-based Dutch Bros. began expanding in Florida in 2022. The chain has multiple locations in various stages of planning and construction in the Orlando area, according to the Orlando Business Journal, a sister news organization. Each Dutch Bros. typically creates 40 jobs, OBJ reports.
Dutch Bros. is best known for its flavor combinations and customer service. |
