Largo landscaping retailer pays $1.5 million for Pinellas Park real estate

A Largo-based landscaping retailer has purchased a $1.5 million property in Gateway Centre Business Park in Pinellas Park.

The buyer, an entity linked to Less: A Landscape Equipment Super Store, closed on the 6.15-acre site on July 10, according to a deed filed in Pinellas County.

Nancy Surak, senior adviser and managing broker with Land Advisors Organization, represented the seller, Huntley Properties and Landholdings LLC. Ellen Ronnlof with REMAX Action First represented the buyer.

The buyer will develop a three-building complex on the site, which will total 48,800 square feet. One of the buildings will be home to Less. The company currently has two other locations — 12855 49th St. N in Clearwater and 30542 SR 54 in Wesley Chapel — and is planning a site in Manatee County.

A second building will feature an e-commerce business, and the third building will be a spec warehouse/flex build. The project is expected to be complete in 2025.

This is the fifth site in the Gateway Centre Business Park sold by Surak since December 2020. She also sold parcels to Tavistock Development, Everest Hospital, Polypack and an entity owned by Johnson Development Associates.

Tavistock’s property, which features a 100,000-square-foot distribution facility, has been developed. Everest Hospital’s 40,000-square-foot physical rehabilitation hospital and Johnson Development Associates’ 110,700-square-foot industrial development are currently under development.
