$11.15 million penthouse sale is an all-time record for Sarasota and Manatee

A Sarasota penthouse has sold for $11.15 million — the most expensive condominium ever sold in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

The penthouse at Epoch sold Monday, Sarasota County property records show. The seller, Alan Town, paid $9.74 million for the condo in May 2021 when the building opened to residents. The buyers are Richard J. Henley and Susan L. Davis, philanthropists and owners of consulting firm Healthcare Strategic Solutions LLC.

The sale appears to be a cash transaction; a mortgage has not been filed in Sarasota County records.

Moriah Taliaferro of Premier Sotheby's International Realty's downtown Sarasota office listed the penthouse for sale. Kelly Baldwin of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the buyers.

The condo has 6,000 square feet of indoor living space as well as a 1,700-square-foot private sky lounge terrace, home to a rooftop jacuzzi, putting green and fire pit.
