RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Accounting firm expands and renews lease at St. Pete’s Baypoint Commerce Center The Feil Organization, a New York City-based real estate investment, management and development firm that owns the office park, said SBF will now occupy the entire first floor of the Glades Building at the commerce center. In total, SBF now leases 22,944 square feet.
In October 2017, SBF moved its headquarters to Baypoint with an 11-year lease. With the expansion, the firm will occupy the space for an additional five years, according to Feil.
“Our Baypoint Commerce Center office is convenient to the entire Tampa Bay area, and it’s an attractive space that’s appealing to our employees,” Rich Franz, managing partner of Spoor Bunch Franz, said in a statement. “We are proud to be consistently named as one of the area’s best places to work, and our St. Petersburg office is an important part of that.”
Barry Hanerfeld of CBRE represented Feil in the transaction.
“It’s been a pleasure cultivating our relationship with Spoor Bunch Franz for the last several years,” Amy Worral, general manager of Baypoint Commerce Center at the Feil Organization, said in a statement. “We are excited to be able to accommodate the firm’s growth, which is representative of not only Feil’s commitment to delivering premier office space to cultivate a strong in-person work environment but also the strength of the St. Petersburg office market at large.”
Baypoint Commerce Center is a 15-building office park with 700,000 square feet of office space. Feil acquired the property in 2011 and completed an extensive multimillion-dollar renovation and upgrades to the site, including renovating common area lobbies, adding new signage, upgrading parking, adding new sidewalks and patios and new exterior landscaping.
The park has on-site property management and leasing, after-hours security and more than 10,000 square feet of fully furnished conference rooms. It is 10 minutes from the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, 10 minutes from downtown St. Pete and 15 minutes from downtown Tampa.
Feil has signed approximately 10,000 square feet of new deals and renewals in the first quarter of the year, including Hall Keener renewing its 1,500-square-foot space, Better Way signing a 361-square-foot lease, U-Vest Financial expanding by 1,818 square feet, Randstad Staffing renewing its 1,569-square-foot space, The First Bank signing a 2,343-square-foot space and Oman Construction signing a 1,053-square-foot lease.
The Feil Organization’s portfolio includes more than 24 million square feet in “industrial, commercial, and retail, over 5,000 residential properties and thousands of acres of undeveloped land across the United States.” |
