St. Petersburg waterfront home sells for $5.5 million

A waterfront home on Bayshore Boulevard in St. Petersburg has sold for $5.5 million.

The sale for the just over 5,000-square-foot home, located at 4611 Bayshore Blvd. NE, closed on May 12. According to a deed filed in Pinellas County, the buyers were Elizabeth and William Diaz. The seller was Meredith Zdon. The sale price breaks down to approximately $1,099 per square foot.

Jennifer Zales with Coldwell Banker Realty represented the seller, and Kathryn Crowe with Smith & Associates represented the buyer. The home was built in 2015 and has five bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths. It sits on a 0.4-acre lot with views of Tampa Bay.

“This was a beautifully designed home with modern architecture that is very popular with buyers today,” Zales told the Tampa Bay Business Journal. “The home’s wide open bay views, and being more recently built was key in achieving a record price per square foot sale in Shore Acres.”

The great room has two-story floor-to-ceiling windows and a fireplace, and the main level includes a chef’s kitchen, butler’s pantry and a 300-bottle wine refrigerator. The first level also has a waterfront office with floor-to-ceiling windows, a media room, a formal dining room, a laundry room and a mudroom.

The property is on a street filled with custom waterfront homes and less than a mile from the Shore Acres Recreation Center. Another house on Bayshore Boulevard, approximately 0.2 miles away, recently sold for $6.55 million. Its sale price broke down to approximately $1,083 per square foot.
