RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Culbreath Isles home fetches almost $9 million in record-breaking sale An entity linked to Tampa real estate investor Jason Accardi closed on the property on Friday, Hillsborough County property records show. The seller was a private trust linked to the late Beverly Boyett Flom, the widow of former Florida Steel CEO Edward Flom.
Accardi declined comment Monday.
Jennifer Zales, an agent with Coldwell Banker Realty in Tampa, represented the buyer and the seller in the transaction.
“This was a record-breaking sale in the Culbreath Isles community, one of the most prime locations in South Tampa,” Zales said. “At almost 200 feet of bay frontage, this was truly a unique property with arguably one of the best views in all of Tampa.
“While Davis Islands receives a great amount of attention these days, Culbreath Isles should equally be on a buyer’s radar for its unique location, deep water canal opportunities, and simply amazing views on the bay. There are a number of new high-value homes that have been built or are under construction in Culbreath Isles currently that have just not resold yet. And the values keep climbing.”
The buying entity secured a mortgage for $5.9 million from Valley National Bank, according to county records. It’s not known if there are plans to redevelop the property, though it would be a prime candidate to be torn down to make way for a larger, more modern residence. The current home on the lot is just under 5,000 square feet, property records show, and was built in 1972. |
