Bradenton's Sprouts Farmers Market now has an opening date, including a hiring fair.

One of the fastest-growing retailers in the country will open on June 30 at 7 a.m. at 1149 Cortez Road. This will be Manatee County’s first Sprouts location, and the health grocer will add approximately 100 full- and part-time jobs to the area, according to a release.

An in-person team member hiring event will be held May 17 at the Hilton Garden Inn Sarasota-Bradenton Airport from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“The healthy grocer continues to bring the latest in wholesome, innovative products made with lifestyle-friendly ingredients such as organic, plant-based and gluten-free,” the company said.

In its first-quarter earnings report, Sprouts (Nasdaq: SFM) reported that it opened eight new stores, closed one and acquired two previously licensed stores, resulting in 395 stores in 23 states as of April 2.

Last year the grocer struck a distribution deal with Tampa’s roastery and coffee shop chain Buddy Brew to distribute the brand’s Bolt cold brew coffee, in original and nitro, in all 370 Sprouts stores in 23 states.

Sprouts is joined by Trader Joe’s, which will also open its first Manatee County location. The California-based specialty grocer announced in The Shoppes at University Town Center, between Lakewood Ranch and The Mall at University Town Center.
