RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Florida Avenue Brewing ready for Seminole Heights 'homecoming' The brewery will open its Seminole Heights location at 4315 N Florida Ave. on May 5, according to a release. The new space spans over 4,000 square feet and will include 16 taps, a full liquor bar, a covered outdoor patio and an on-site kitchen.
“The new location will share many of the most popular features of our Wesley Chapel location, but also presents us with a lot of exciting new opportunities,” said CEO of Florida Avenue Brewing Co. Anthony Derby, in a statement. “With this homecoming to Florida Avenue, we plan to utilize this new brewery as an innovation center, where we can experiment and get creative with small batch brews by utilizing technology and new hop products.”
In addition to various beers, cocktails and wine, an on-site food trailer will serve a spread of beer-friendly eats like cheese curds, housemade cheesesteak egg rolls, the Florida Avenue Smash Burger, hot chicken sandwiches, salads and flatbreads.
Florida Avenue, acquired by Brew Bus Brewing Co. in 2015, opened the restaurant portion of its new 38,000-square-foot facility in Wesley Chapel in October 2020. The Wesley Chapel facility will still produce most of its core beers, while the Seminole Heights on-site brewery will create special batches and products specifically for customers in that area.
Florida Avenue Brewing is the third-largest brewery in Tampa Bay, according to Tampa Bay Business Journal research. |
