Condo tower Altura Bayshore reaches full height

Altura Bayshore, a 23-story condominium tower in South Tampa, has reached its full height.

General contractor Connor & Gaskins Unlimited said the tower recently celebrated its topping out. The Ronto Group, based in Naples, is the tower's developer. It has 73 luxury condos.

“The CGU team is grateful for this team of subcontractors who’ve put in an immense amount of work and dedication to bring this project to life,” said Craig Gaskins, CGU owner, said in a statement. “Watching the building process of Altura floor-by-floor has been an exhilarating experience and we look forward to seeing this tower continue to take shape.”

Altura Bayshore is about one block off of Bayshore Boulevard in an area of South Tampa that's seen an influx of luxury condo development in recent years. It is just a block from Aquatica, where owners began moving in in 2020, and roughly half a mile from the Ritz-Carlton Residences on Bayshore. The Ritz-Carlton Residences also recently topped out.

Congregation Rodeph Sholom is in the process of redeveloping a portion of its property on Bayshore Boulevard to include a luxury condo tower as well. A rezoning hearing in front of Tampa City Council is set for May 11.
