Diamondbacks pitcher Mark Melancon lists luxury waterfront home on Anna Maria Island

A waterfront home on Anna Maria Island owned by a pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks has hit the market for $10.95 million.

The 5,921-square-foot home, located at 535 70th St., is owned by Mark Melancon, a four-time MLB All-Star. His home has six bedrooms, five full baths and two half baths and lies at the end of a cul-de-sac. It includes approximately 1,618 square feet of outdoor living space.

The home was listed by Charles Buky with Coldwell Banker Realty and was designed to provide “the ultimate indoor/outdoor living experience,” according to a release. The home includes views of Bimini Bay from every room.

The home was assembled by Beacon Home Design, Moss Builders and Emily Moss Designs and received a Best in Living award from the National Association of Home Builders.

Unique attributes include custom Amish cabinetry, a 16-foot island with a 6-foot galley sink in the kitchen and a full suite of Dacor appliances. The kitchen has a walk-in pantry with a custom storage and beverage center. Connected to the kitchen is a hidden full-service butler pantry with a Sub-Zero Wolf freezer drawer and Sub-Zero Wolf fridge drawer, Perlick ice maker, a Cove dishwasher and a sink.

The owner’s suite has a dedicated seating area and a private, screened-in covered lanai with a gas fireplace. The property also includes two docks on deepwater canals.
