Chuck Lager America’s Tavern to open in Oldsmar

The new Chuck Lager America’s Tavern in Oldsmar, led by “Top Chef” alum Fabio Viviani, will open April 19.

The restaurant, located at 4016 Tampa Road, is co-created by Viviani, Lager, Craig Colby and Michael Colby. Viviani is known for winning the “fan favorite” title on Bravo’s “Top Chef.” He later returned to compete on “Top Chef: All Stars” and, since 2005, has opened more than 30 restaurants, bars and event spaces across the country.

Chuck Lager America’s Tavern is the third for Viviani in Tampa Bay. The 5,257-square-foot freestanding restaurant replaced a former Applebee’s.

The restaurant features an American menu with “a sprinkling of international influence,” according to a release. The menu is “anchored by craft cocktails, bourbons, wines and whiskeys,” and draft beer.

It will feature classics like burgers, sandwiches, pasta, flatbreads, salads, bowls, tacos, steaks and fish. Some highlights include Fabio’s signature beef and pork ricotta meatballs, a truffle mushroom flatbread, a Mount Kilimanjaro burger and a limoncello mascarpone cake.

Viviani also operates a Chuck Lager America’s Tavern in Wesley Chapel. A location will also soon open in Westshore Marina.
