Pinellas turns down bids for downtown Clearwater properties, plans to explore other options

Pinellas County rejected all proposals for the redevelopment of more than 20 acres of county-owned land in downtown Clearwater.

The rejection comes nearly a month after proposals were due, according to the county’s procurement portal. The county stated it rejected the two proposals it received “with the intent of exploring additional options moving forward,” according to a memo from the county’s lead procurement analyst, Alex Meloy.
