The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA has officially opened the new Mary W. Sierra Family YMCA in Wesley Chapel, marking a major investment in one of the fastest-growing parts of the Tampa Bay region.

The 49,319-square-foot facility, located adjacent to BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel, opened Monday following a multiyear planning and construction effort. The roughly $35 million project is designed to serve eastern Pasco County’s rapidly expanding population with wellness, recreation, youth development and community programming.
