37-acre mixed-use development takes shape in Hernando

A mixed-use development with nearly 350 residential units is planned for a growing part of Hernando County along the Suncoast Parkway.

Spring Hill Towne Center is a 37-acre mixed-use development that will feature retail, 240 apartment units and 106 townhomes near the intersection of Barclay Avenue and Spring Hill Drive. Captec Financial Holdings is the master-developer of Spring Hill Towne Center, having purchased the vacant land in 2023 for $4.2 million, according to county records.
