St. Petersburg bypasses RFP process for Mahaffey Theater despite interest from Live Nation, others

Four entertainment management firms, including a national giant, want to manage St. Petersburg’s Mahaffey Theater, but the city is well into negotiations with The Florida Orchestra.

Live Nation, Legacy Management Systems, Vinik Sports Group and Ruth Eckerd Hall Inc. have sent the city of St. Pete written proposals and inquiries regarding management of the Mahaffey Theater, according to documents obtained by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
