Florida Cancer Specialists building to become multitenant medical office in downtown Sarasota

A downtown Sarasota medical office building that housed Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute for more than two decades has been sold and will be redeveloped into a multitenant healthcare property.

A private investor purchased the 19,500-square-foot building at 1970 Golf St. and plans to reposition the former single-user facility into medical office space for multiple tenants serving Sarasota's urban core. The property sold for $8.43 million. It last sold for $7.9 million in 2021, according to Sarasota property records.
