Atlanta developer advances toward groundbreaking on St. Petersburg apartment project

An Atlanta developer can break ground on an apartment complex where the former Bankers Financial Group headquarters in St. Petersburg once stood.

Wood Partners is moving ahead with construction of a 381-unit multifamily development dubbed Alta Roosevelt at 11101 Roosevelt Blvd. N. The existing office building on the site has already been demolished, and the city of St. Pete issued a $44.4 million vertical construction permit for the garden-style complex July 17.
