National builder plans nearly 400 homes on Hernando pasture land

A national builder is planning hundreds of homes in a fast-growing city in Hernando County.

Virginia-based NVR, the parent company of Ryan Homes, one of the largest homebuilders in Tampa Bay, is proposing 388 residential units in Brooksville, near the intersection of Broad Street and Powell Road. This is phase one of the mixed-use development, Springside Crossing, which will have a mix of single-family homes and townhomes.
