Pinellas County advances $51M North County Service Center on new government campus

Pinellas County is moving ahead with a new North County Service Center to replace an aging facility and create a one-stop location for residents.

The $51 million project will consolidate the tax collector, Clerk of the Circuit Court and property appraiser into a three-story, 80,000-square-foot office building. County commissioners unanimously voted to approve a reimbursement resolution Tuesday allowing the county to finance the project with future tax-exempt bonds. The project is one component of the county’s plan to relocate its government headquarters from downtown Clearwater to a new campus.
