Construction industry continues growing in Tampa Bay

As the Tampa Bay area continues to show strong growth, this is reflected in the strength of the construction industry in the region.

Total construction employment topped 140,000 in Tampa Bay in 2025, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This represents an increase of nearly 40% over the last 10 years.
