Sarasota Orchestra gets $11.7M gift for music center

Sarasota Orchestra has received a major gift from an anonymous donor to support the construction of its music center and has released updated design renderings as it inches closer to groundbreaking.

The 77-year-old orchestra announced on May 18 that it had received an $11.7 million investment to strengthen its foundation and support its architectural execution. Spanning a 32-acre campus at 5701 Fruitville Road, the orchestra is entering into its final phase of construction and is projected to break ground next year.
