New developer takes over mixed-use tower in South Tampa's Beach Park

An aging office park on the Beach Park waterfront could become an 11-story tower with apartments and commercial space.

Northwood Ravin, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has proposed building 280 apartments over 6,000 square feet of commercial and office space at 5600 Mariner St. The Mariner Street property is owned by Tampa philanthropists Drs. Kiran and Pallavi Patel. The Patels have owned the property since 2003.
