Tampa nonprofit secures $16M to build pediatric vision center in Ybor City

A long-planned health care development in Ybor City is another step closer to construction after Lions World Vision Institute secured $16 million in project financing through a federal tax credit program, unlocking development more than a decade after acquiring the site.

The Tampa nonprofit first announced plans to develop the pediatric vision health center in 2024.
