Developer plans dozens of townhouses on West Tampa riverfront

A Tampa real estate developer is planning to build dozens of townhouses on a waterfront property in West Tampa.

An entity linked to developer Mize and Sefair has asked the city to rezone just under 4.7 acres at 6111 N. Rome Ave. to make way for a residential community with three detached single-family homes and 37 townhouses. The entity paid $3.3 million for the property, previously home to the German American Club of Tampa, in 2023.
