Former 717 South restaurant to reopen as The Landon in South Tampa

After a fire shuttered popular South Tampa restaurant 717 South in 2024, restaurateur Michael Stewart is reopening the property this month with a new concept.

The Landon at 717 S. Howard Ave. will reopen March 23, reviving a South Tampa location long associated with upscale dining and neighborhood gatherings.
