Mahaffey Theater management to change hands after Big 3 Entertainment's 15-year run ends in May

In a little under two months, the Mahaffey Theater will be under new management for the first time in 15 years.

Big 3 Entertainment, led by developer Bill Edwards, will cease managing the theater May 10. The city of St. Petersburg will manage the theater until a new company is selected — that process is underway as only one group responded to the city’s request for proposals last month.
