Developer closes on former Clearwater hospice campus where 376 apartments are planned

A real estate investment firm closed on a former hospice campus in Clearwater, where hundreds of apartments are planned.

PGIM closed on the 22-acre site home to three Empath Health buildings Tuesday for $19.25 million, according to a deed recorded in Pinellas County. Greystar, a major multifamily developer, has filed permits to build a 283-unit garden-style apartment complex and 93 two-story townhomes on the site at 5771 Roosevelt Blvd.
