Tampa City Council denies boutique hotel on Davis Islands

After a prolonged debate over the future of a historic apartment building on Davis Islands, the property will remain as it is.

Tampa City Council voted 5-2 late Thursday night to deny a comprehensive plan amendment and planned development rezoning that would have allowed the Mirasol, a 58-key apartment building, to be converted to its original use: a boutique hotel.
