Canadian homebuilder buys land off Gandy in St. Petersburg

The developer bringing 415 apartments to the St. Petersburg waterfront has sold a portion of its land to a Canadian homebuilder.

Key International, the Miami-based developer moving forward with a project called Amara Bay Residences & Marina, sold property off Gandy Boulevard to Canadian-based Mattamy Homes for $12.64 million, according to a deed recorded Tuesday. The property includes 53 homesites that the homebuilder plans to build townhomes.
