New owner of St. Pete's Derby Lane sees gaming in its future

The future of one of the most closely watched properties in Tampa Bay could soon be more concrete.

The owners of the 131.5-acre Derby Lane, the former greyhound racing track that is currently operating as a gaming room, are accepting proposals from developers for their vision of the property. Proposals are set to be reviewed in February, property owner Sagi Genger said, and he suspects the result to be a venture between the developer and his ownership group that will continue running the gaming business.
