The Nordstrom Rack and a portion of Countryside Mall home to Whole Foods and a future two-story Target have been sold to a Bradenton developer.

Benderson Development, based in Sarasota County, acquired the 14.5-acre parcel, home to the former Sears department store, for $28.5 million, according to a deed recorded Tuesday. The developer bought the property from Seritage Growth Properties (NYSE: SRG), a real estate investment trust formed from the assets of Sears Holdings. Benderson plans to maintain the fully leased property with no plans for development.
