National builder tees up Apollo Beach land for hundreds of homes

A national builder has teed up hundreds of acres of cropland in South Hillsborough County for residential development.

An entity linked to New York-based Domain Real Estate Partners paid $43 million for just under 228 acres of Apollo Beach cropland on Oct. 31, Hillsborough County property records show. An agreement filed in Hillsborough County on Nov. 5 shows that Miami-based Lennar Corp. has an option to buy that land from the Domain entity. Domain and Lennar recently closed a similar deal in South Florida.
