Landlord sues St. Petersburg chef over abandoned restaurant, unpaid rent

A landlord is suing a local chef for abandoning the St. Petersburg restaurant he opened five months ago.

Chef Ted Dorsey opened Sunshine City Tavern at 4351 Fourth St. N in March. Now, his landlord alleges he’s abandoned the property and hasn’t paid rent since May, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in Pinellas County Circuit Court.
