First tower in Related's Riverwalk District in downtown Tampa moves toward groundbreaking

A 38-story luxury tower will soon begin construction on the west bank of the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa.

Miami-based Related Group has applied for permits for the 38-story, 269-unit Icon Riverwalk, Tampa building records show. The tower is part of what Related has dubbed the Riverwalk District, which is along South Parker Street overlooking the Tampa skyline. In June, Related sought permits for the tower's foundation and utilities.
