YMCA breaks ground on $35M Wesley Chapel facility

Construction is underway on the YMCA in Wesley Chapel, a $35 million project to expand health and wellness services to one of Pasco County’s fastest-growing communities.

The 49,319-square-foot facility will be on a 10-acre site at Wiregrass Ranch, near Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. It will have a two-story building with a full aquatic center, wellness studios and space for youth and family programs. The project is a joint effort between the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA and BayCare Health System, one of the region’s largest health care providers.
