Ashley Furniture makes $70 million warehouse buy in Lakeland

A global furniture manufacturer and retailer with longtime ties to the Tampa Bay region has made a significant investment in Lakeland.

A corporate entity linked to Ashley Furniture paid $70.5 million for a 705,000-square-foot warehouse that broke ground speculatively in 2021. It is in Lakeland Central Park, a mixed-use development west of Airport Road and south of Old Tampa Highway. Orlando-based Parkway Inc. and Silverpeak Real Estate Partners are the developers.
