Pinellas County highlights front-runners to lead ambitious government complex project

Pinellas County’s sprawling new campus in Clearwater is a step closer to breaking ground after officials identified two front-runners for construction and design services.

The county identified the need to consolidate and relocate its government headquarters from downtown Clearwater to a centralized location at 13600 Icot Blvd., a 21-acre site previously used as a car dealership. To embark on this development, the government in early 2025 issued two requests for proposals, which received several responses that have since been scored.
