Winn-Dixie in South Tampa's Hyde Park to reopen as Aldi

Tampa’s first Aldi that was converted from a Winn-Dixie store will open Thursday.

Shoppers who were familiar with the Winn-Dixie at 2100 W. Swann Ave. in South Tampa’s Hyde Park neighborhood will return to a store roughly half the size of the original. Winn-Dixie occupied 50,973 square feet; construction documents for the conversion detailed plans for a 24,081-square-foot Aldi.
