Lakewood Ranch firm partners on $800 million deal to buy Texas master-planned communities

Houston-based Hines has sold 11 master-planned communities to a Florida-based investment firm in an $800 million deal.

A joint venture between Miami Beach-based Starwood Capital Group and an affiliate of Lakewood Ranch-based Land Strategies Management, which operates as Starwood Land, acquired the Texas communities, the companies said April 4.
