Developers push forward with $30M New Port Richey apartment project

Long before the historic October 2024 storm surge that inundated U.S. Highway 19 in West Pasco, Leonard Burke and his partner Alexander Goshen closed on a just under 9-acre parcel a block just west of the busy thoroughfare in New Port Richey city limits.

At the time, the developers weren’t overly concerned about their $2 million land deal — there was no precedent for what occurred in Hurricane Helene.
