Tampa investors to convert Davis Islands apartments to boutique hotel

A historic apartment building on Davis Islands could be converted back to its original use: a boutique hotel.

A group of local investors, led by Davis Islands resident Frank Carriera, has a redevelopment plan for the Mirasol, a 58-key apartment building. The property was damaged by hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024, and part of the conversion to a boutique hotel involves restoration and storm repairs. Carriera lives on Davis Islands with his wife, Lindsey, and their three sons.
