Pinellas pours millions into redeveloping former Raytheon and Ceridian sites to make way for affordable housing

An infusion of public funding will help kick-start two of the largest development projects in recent St. Petersburg history.

The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday unanimously agreed to spend $5.25 million on the Azalea Gateway apartment project, which will rise on a 29-acre site that was home to Raytheon Technologies in the late 1990s.
