Developer secures $50M tax rebate for 30-acre mixed-used Pasco development

The first phase of Legacy Wiregrass Ranch, a dense mixed-use development on a former Pasco County cattle ranch, is one step closer to reality.

Pasco County commissioners voted 5-0 last week to approve a $50 million ad valorem tax rebate incentive over 30 years to offset roughly $85 million of Wiregrass’ investment in public infrastructure for Legacy Wiregrass phase one. It comprises 30 acres of a planned 130-acre long-term project. Construction costs are anticipated to be $400 million to $500 million over the project.
