Tampa developer, feeling 'enthusiastic' about downtown tower proposal, tweaks height

Plans for a mixed-use tower overlooking Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown Tampa are moving forward, its developer says, and the tower will be a few stories taller than initially proposed.

Tampa-based TLR Group has tweaked its plans for the tower at 601 N. Ashley Drive. It will now include 600 apartments (up from 480), 46,000 square feet of office space (down from 68,000 square feet) and 11,000 square feet of retail space (down from 12,000 square feet). The tower will now be 48 stories instead of 43, according to plans filed with the city.
